President's Report:
Pledging is next week at 6pm. Remember, it's formal dress: button-down shirt, tie, nice pants, etc. In IFC news, the VP of Recruitment is going to be leaving soon, if anyone wants to replace him.

Aftermeeting is right afterwards, as usual. Retreat is in a couple of weeks; officers should come up with ideas about what they want to talk about.

No news is good news.

I am typing what I am saying. Good news, there is no paperwork due soon. I'll be posting minutes as soon as I can figure out how.

Recruit. Chair:
Three bid cards have been sent out this past weekend. Check the calendar for upcoming events.

[from Br. Smith] Since very few people seem interested in rock climbing, I may be calling off the event.

I don't know if people have been meeting with your groups; I hope you have. If you're struggling in your classes get help; from your brothers, your TA's, your professors, whatever. I'm going to try to arrange meetings with people 1-on-1.

Meal plan went pretty well. A few things: Leftovers should not be thrown away. They should be put into the fridge as Free Game. Make sure you turn off and drain the Hobart after you're done with it. A few people are still leaving dishes in the sprayer area. Also: Once dishes have been through the Hobart, make sure you put them up on the shelves. I'd like ideas for meal plan this week. How about pizza? Schedule for this week will be going out tonight.

Resident Manager:
[from Br. Bruce] The insurance inspection will actually be this Saturday, so workday will again be on Saturday. As long as people keep LAN party clean and organized, it shouldn't be a problem.

Appointed Officer Reports:
Social Chair:

I'm going to start organizing the library, either next week or the week after. Any help with that is appreciated, especially since I am without two working legs.

ASK/Triangle Liaison:

Philanthropy Chair:
[from Br. Browder] The Shack-A-Thon is October 6th, which is Wednesday next week. We should start gathering materials now. Sign-in is at 9am, and we can begin building then; judging is at 5pm. We need someone to be in the shack all that day. Electronic devices are forbidden. IPods and laptops are permitted, but discouraged. Who wants to help build? [Br. Sanders, Br. Miller, Br. Ashley, Br. Collins]

Old Business:

T-shirt designs are being worked on.

New Business:

Br. Bruce: Civ 5 is pretty awesome; I've almost finished one game.

Br. Wilson: I've begun an interesting new excersize regimen: Walking around on crutches. My graduate school applications are due the first; let's see how they go.

Br. Boles: "Rent" is a terribly depressing play. Also, I love running an Exalted group just because of the sheer potential of terrible things I can do.

Br. Browder: I'm still working on this CS project; it is really big. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it by Tuesday. Capture the Flag was fun, despite the "attempted murder" of Br. Nguyen. [Br. Browder had accidentally kneed him in the face; no serious injury]

Br. Sanders: My electromagnetic fields class is really hard; I'm doing well despite not really knowing what I'm doing.

Br. Ashley: Life's going pretty good.

Br. Miller: I have a lot of stuff going on. Every day of next week, I'll have something big going on.

Br. Collins: I am still typing what I am saying. My first two tests are tomorrow; I've been studying for them and I think I'm ready.

Mr. Runyan: I don't have much to say. I had a good week.

Member of the Week: Br. Nguyen, for taking it like a man.

Quote of the Week: "It feels really wierd getting hit on by [Khan and Courtney] at the same time." -Br. Boles
