Officer Reports:

President:

  • Internet Connection for Fraternities, meeting Tuesday, Feb 3, 1:30pm, NEL 128
  • Someone offering to pay first 50 people to go to Conference by Mark Gerzon, committee for the common ground; public debate in the community, @ Postal Center
  • Have Exec. Council meeting tonight after After Meeting
  • Pictures at 5 pm, Copeland Hall; same day as dinner with SWE. Dress up.
  • Thanks to all on rush

VP:

  • Marcos will be pledge educator.
  • Membership development-use Robert's Rules of Order (see large board for key items of interest; next time Br. Wheatley in meeting and debate ensues).
  • Form A's have been sent.

Secretary:

  • Minutes done. On WWW.

Treasurer:

  • Form A's sent, with $35/ each

Scholarship:

  • Office hour set up Friday at 1:00pm here at house (front room)
  • Drop resumes

Editor:

  • Assignments for next newsletter, due 11-Feb (Wed): President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer. Additional info by Br. Kraft as House Manager. Bios on pledges from Br. Garner. Rush events/future social events from Br. Stewart. From Br. Stocco, brief bios for alumni officers. (Due to incorrect assumptions of alumni officer changes, will be ignored.)
  • Newsletter will go out Feb. 16.

House Manager:

  • Office hours: 3:30-5:30 Sundays in Br. Kraft's Room.
  • House meetings 5:30pm at house.

Social Chair:

  • With Brs. Stocco and Bryant worked out schedule.
  • Tentatively planned study nights Mon, Wed, and dinners Tuesday.
  • Lack of input for events!
  • Will have tentative calendar available by this evening.
  • Dinner with SWE, Tuesday night, 7pm.

Rush:

  • Need people to help get food and cook Tuesday because of SWE event. 3:30pm
  • Formal pledging next Sunday at 6pm.
  • Thursday night is movies night, and Br. Garner won't be able to go. Someone will have to deal with it.

Committee Reports:

WOW Committee:

  • Invitations printed up. Would like to get them out quickly.
  • People from the University and those you'd want to invite. $15.
  • Will keep an invite list and track RSVPs.
  • Passed around invitations. Will give invitations to parents, also.
  • Points due tonight at Midnight.

House Committee:

  • House shopping list will be on refrigerator downstairs. Add appropriate items.
  • Chores stuff.
  • House budget.

Old Business:

  • None.

New Business:

  • Motion: Set weekly dinners for Tuesday nights at 7:30pm.
  • Amended: To begin after Rush (after pledging). (Passed by consent)
  • Friendly Amendment: to proceed as per last semesters parameters: Must give VP a valid excuse beforehand to avoid the normal $3 charge. Must also pay $3 for each guest. Run by VP, insofar as assignments of cooking and etc.

  • Motion: to make study nights Monday at Walker 4E at 8pm-12am, and Wednesday at the house 8pm-12am.
  • Amendment: Make it start after formal pledging (Passed by consent)

Announcements:

  • Br. Stocco: Need to get with pledges to get good times to schedule a meeting. Going on a conference this week and may not be back for the meeting. Will not be here for Pledge education committee meeting.
  • Br. Bryant: Pig Sty at Newcastle High.
  • Br. Watson: Welcome Eugene to meeting (pledge). Familiarize pledge with meeting. Pledge gets a vote. Read Words I Wish I Wrote.
  • Br. Forsythe: Fixed door, contact, enjoyed meetings, Norman HS, etc.
  • Br. Dickinson: got B in German test
  • Br. Mercer: sister selling Girl Scout cookies. Boren meeting conflicts. Spent weekend at HS speech tournament sponsored by OU. State will be hosted here.
  • Br. Murphy: went to Dallas and saw boat show; 80 ft boat with aggregate 1200 HP, 135 MPH max speed!
  • Br. Kraft: went used car shopping; car salesmen are slimy bastards. May have a job lined up at UPRC in summer.
  • Br. Burgess: career fair nifty; liked talking to engineers. Bring me your syllabi and grades.
  • Br. Powell: Busy week; projected not much not busy
  • Br. Martin: Offered internship at IBM, North Carolina, this summer. Will hurt for a few days.
  • Br. Stewart: get secretary to send thank-you card to ASK for dinner. Send me your suggestions for social calendar. Got to play with model drilling rig, etc. Roommate is leaving. Happy
  • Br. Garner: Truck works for now. Please come to Tuesday's SWE dinner.
  • Br. Aldridge: Everything and nothing.
  • Pl. Chen: made king cakes this morning.
